About Mason + Co.
Our Story
Mason started woodworking when she was only 10 years old, making engraved signs for sale to her family and neighbors. As a young adult, she worked at the lumber mill in Banks, Oregon, and became a lumber grader. Later in life she started making her birdhouses that she sold all over Oregon in the "Made in Oregon" stores. This progressed into building custom furniture for her landscaping business clients all over Portland (the other Portland).
Fast forward to today, in Maine, she built most of the furniture used at the Blue Heron Farm and Retreat in the barn and lodging. Making furniture and art in our New England style - a new business was born!
Our Purpose
Our first passion is art and sharing - creating a space and a place for people to enjoy together with their family and friends -whether it be eating a meal together or enjoying art or birdwatching with your children.
We are also passionate animal lovers and our two sidekicks make the "Company" of Mason and Co. In honor of our spirit to make this world a better place, we will always donate 10% of our sales to reputable animal rescues that are near and dear to us (and are Finley and Sophie approved).
